 Advanced Lesson Fifteen: Collectable Items

1.) In this tutorial you will learn how to make an item disappear when an item collides with your symbol

--------- --------------

--------- --------------

2.) In this tutorial You need the following:

-A main character symbol
-A collectable item symbol I chose a coin for my demonstration
-You Actions Panel Note: A Hot Key to Open this quickly is F9
-Your Properties Panel
-The Timeline Panel

3.) First we need to work inside your collectable item.
Make a frame with the symbol visible.
and a second frame with the symbol invisible
on both frame put a stop action "stop();" .

--------- --------------

--------- --------------

4.) Make sure that you have given the main character or symbol that will be collecting the item(s) has an instance name.

--------- --------------

--------- --------------

5.) The last thing to do, is to put code on each coin, using the this keyword. Saying when this is touched, then go to the frame inside of that symbol with it the invisible symbol. This can greatly help you out with using the "this" keyword because, now you can just copy and paste as many coins or w/e as you want.
